I have been babysitting & nannying children for over 6 years and I truly enjoy taking care of kiddos of all ages! I am preparing to enter my junior year at the University of Denver and I will be living in here through the summer months. I am originally from Bend, Oregon and grew up in a very athletic and active family. Perhaps the reason I love taking care of kids so much is because my brother and I had several wonderful & nurturing nannies growing up. I drive a Mazda Tribute SUV, have a very clean driving record and I am a non-smoker! When I began babysitting back in 2005 I was adult/child/ pediatric CPR certified through the American Red Cross and recently renewed my CPR certification in November 2011. I have a lot of experience with infants and I have watched children up to 12 years of age. While on the job I try to make sure that the kiddos are not only closely watched but also are kept having entertained and are having fun! Last summer I nanny-shared for 3 families and on any given day the kids and I were usually at the park, pool, riding bikes, adventuring around the public libraries, zoos, museums, painting pottery, doing arts and crafts (my absolute favorite!) or playing outdoors. I 'm not a huge fan of TV/ video games, as I 'd much rather be doing something engaging and interactive. Aside from nannying I love to go to run, do yoga, eat healthy and explore the Rocky Mountains whenever possible. Since living in Denver I have babysat for several families with both infants and school-aged children who have agreed to be contacted as references upon request. Although I have had many other job-type opportunities, nannying and babysitting is by far the most rewarding and fun. This is primarily because I love watching children grow up healthy in a happy and positive environment.
