I am the second child in the family, I am 18 years old and I have two younger siblings that I helped my mother raise. They were born when I was age 6 and 8. I have babysat them many times in the past and I have babysat neighbors' children up to age 10. One family had a 6, 7, 8, and 9-year-old with a very specific television schedule with limitations that were followed carefully even when the children would attempt to trick me. Other times, I have babysat infants, one 9-month-old choked on food and I was able to perform the Heimlich maneuver at 13 years old. I have babysat a wide range of ages and many children. I usually charged $3 per child per hour but I am looking for a regular paying job for possibly more. Most important, I loved taking care of each child. I could always strike up a conversation and relate with the parents and we would always have a great time together.
