I am a US permanent resident (green card holder), who is legal to work in the United States. I am a Thai citizen. I have worked in Long Island, NY, where I was a live-in nanny (Au Pair). I lived with an American family and took care of their three children for 11 months. They are so cute, and I love them so much.
I have trained at a Daycare Nursery from a Hospital in Bangkok for 400 hours. There were many infants and toddlers there. They ranged in age from a month to 5 years old. My responsibilities included taking the temperature of sick children, cleaning infants, preparing bottles, testing milk, changing diapers, playing with children, putting children to bed, and preparing food for all ages of children. I have also studied child development since the first day of my training, including training children in walking, crawling, trying to speak, etc. I have also studied how to deal with children crying. I was taught by nurses and babysitters how to take good care of those children. Understanding what children want is also an important thing for being a babysitter.
