I am a professional mom. I was a stay-at-home mom for many years. I have worked in a preschool for 5 years as a teaching assistant. I loved that job because the kids were so much fun! I love the way their minds work and the wonderfully imaginative things they say. I attended the local community college and took some early childhood education classes a few years back. I got A's in all my classes.
The reason I listed myself as a Childcare/Mothers helper is because I remember raising my own children and the thought often hit me that the whole thing would be so much easier if I just had another "hand". I really could have used some help! Not a lot, nothing intrusive, just a hand here and there where needed. It's difficult to explain unless you've been there, but those of you who have will know what I'm talking about. Maybe this would better explain it... over the years I've seen many households who could use what I call "an Alice", as in the Brady Bunch. Let's face it, Mrs Brady wasn't getting dinner on time and the kids where they needed to go without Alice! That's me! I'm your "Alice"!
