My goal is to obtain a professional communication as well as relationship with parents where I can provide excellent care to their children and utilize my experience of 5 years in a diverse home setting. I have worked with 2 wonderful families and have created amazing relationships with both. I started September of 2006 with the B. family and began to take care of their son when he was just days old. In the beginning I helped his mother, to do some light cleaning around the house like cleaning some dishes, cooking meals she prepared the day before, laundry and ran some errands for her. When it came to the child I prepared breakfast and lunch, brought him to play dates established by his mother, brought him to his music, Gymboree, and arts & crafts classes, worked weekends whenever Mr. and Mrs. B. needed me. Every week I would sit down with his parents to discuss his week as well as any disciplinary issues in that week.
In December of 2009 I began to work with the R. family and took care of their daughter after she was just a few days old. She wasn't a good sleeper in the beginning and I helped her mother make a sleeping routine which was very successful. I did the child's laundry twice a week, prepared and served her breakfast and lunch, if asked by parents I took her out to the park, walks, and play dates, created schedules that allowed her to have educational play time as well as physical activity on a daily basis.
