I started working in my aunt's in home daycare at the age of 16. I work with her for 2 years. I taught the children, did outside activities, prepared meals, etc. I started my own in home daycare in June 2003 because my son was ill and I needed to be at home with him. What better way to earn an income than doing what I love, working with children? I have provided care for children from 2 weeks to 15 years of age. I believe the first five years of a child's life are the most essential. I enjoy watching them grow and learn. I acquired two Associate's degrees one in Business Management and the other in Early Childhood Teacher Education. I love working with children, but I decided to separate work from home. My kids are 16 and 11 now and want their home to themselves and I can respect that, but would love to continue working with children!!
