I have been involved with children since a very young age, whether watching my younger siblings and cousins or working with the kids at my riding barn, they have always been a big part of my life. With two younger siblings (a brother and a sister), as well as many younger cousins, I was thrust into the role of babysitter without a second thought. I quickly realized how much I enjoyed the company of my young family members, and could not wait to get my first job as a real babysitter. Over the years, that love for kids developed into a job as a summer camp counselor. I had so much fun the first summer that I immediately volunteered for the next summer, already planning new activities and crafts for the kids. I have always been well liked and respected by my charges and their parents, and hope to continue working with kids for years to come.
I am 19 years old, a recent high school graduate, and am currently attending college. I have already taken a few Child Development and Psychology classes, and hope to major in a field that has to do with kids. I am an artist and an avid reader, with a strong belief that children need lots of culture and a wide range of activities/experiences to foster a love and passion for life. I am knowledgeable of Waldorf teachings, as I attended a Waldorf school for many years. English is my first language, but I have taken ASL (American Sign Language) at college, and can sign up to ASL2. I have basic first aid training, as well as knowledge of CRP, and am currently working on becoming certified. I hope to hear from you!
