I am passionate about children and helping others! I am a Psychology major concentrating in child and family counseling. My most recent job interacting with children was my summer job. I worked at Culver Military Academies and Summer Camps, located in Culver, Indiana. This was my second summer there that I have life guarded. I served meals in the dining hall the first summer and was a swim instructor this summer. I worked with children ages 7 - 14. I loved being able to get to know them through out the 6 weeks of camp as well as to teach them new things. I started babysitting before high school and watch an 11 year old girl with downs syndrome. I have been a camp counselor's assistant at Forest Home Christian Camps in California where I was assigned to care for a family and their children. It went so well they hired me after the camp and I watch their 6 year old daughter and 4 year old son as needed. I volunteered in my church's 3 - 4 year old Sunday school class back in San Diego. I babysat 7 children from ages 3 - 6 with my roommate every Wednesday last fall semester. The last job I had working with children was working at the kids "klub" in La Fitness gym, which is like Gold's Gym except in San Diego. I love children and their wild imaginations and endless amounts of energy. I work best in a fast paced environment and am enthusiastic and energized just as much as the kids usually are!
