Though I have been working with children, starting as a babysitter for friends and neighbors, since the age of 12, I have greatly improved my knowledge and skill over the past seven years. I have worked in two residential care facilities, working with emotionally disturbed teenagers, for a total of 5 1/2 years, 3 of which I held a management position. In addition, I have worked for the city for a total of 2 years as a preschool teacher assistant, as well as in the middle school summer camp and after school program. I enjoy working with children in every capacity, though tend to gravitate toward the more difficult positions, such as those that require a lot of energy and patience. I do well with multiples and children with behavioral issues.
