Work Experience:
- As a full-time nanny (4/2012-10/2012), I cared for a 6-month-old, 18month old & 3-year-old.
- As a lead transitional preschool teacher (10/2010-3/2012), my job is to provide a safe, loving and fun environment for children to learn and grow. I am responsible for eight 2 1/2-year-old students full-time. I write age appropriate lesson plans to help them practice colors, letters and numbers, work on potty training and teach social skills.
- As a private mentor/tutor for child with Special Needs from September 2010- February 2011, I provide after school care for elementary aged child with special needs 3 days a week. We worked on homework and practiced reading and math skills. I provided the child with a trusted adult who they could talk to about their feelings and spend time with.
- As a lead teacher for kids' program at church from December 2007- September 2010, while their parents went to church, my job was to teach a class of 10-15 3-year-old children about God, Jesus and what it means to be a Christian through story telling, projects, games and play.
- As a private nanny from June 2007- August 2007, my job was to play with and take care of an 18-month-old girl. I make her breakfast and lunch and tidy the house.
- As a nanny/babysitter for various family and friends from 2001- present, my job is to provide care to children of family and friends after school, after work and on weekends. I got my babysitter card when I was 11 years old- childcare has always been my passion.

Volunteer experience:
- Middle School - Assistant in 7th grade classroom (Internship),

Certifications/Licensing:
I finished a State Training And Registry System certification in October 2011. This 20-hour course is designed for all persons working in a licensed childcare facility. I learned about the development of children from birth to school age and teaching techniques.

I am currently certified in Blood-borne Pathogens, Adult and Pediatric Basic First Aid and Adult, Child and Infant CPR and AED. And I have a current Food Handlers Permit and a current state drivers license.

Education:
I graduated from Windward High School in Ferndale, WA in 2008 where I studied advanced level academics. I started at Whatcom Community College in 2007 through the program and continued there 1 year after graduation.
