I grew up with triplet brothers that were younger than me. I began babysitting at the age of 12. I have always enjoyed being around children. I have watched infants through 15-year-olds and enjoy all ages. I have participated in teaching summer bible school, summer theater school and summer baseball for children from the ages of 5 to 10. I also have been a part of Reading Partners (going into people's homes and helping their children work on their reading skills), and was a youth assistant at the Minnesota Center for Book Arts, aiding in the creative book art classes including paper-making for kids. I watched 2 children for 3 summers consecutively, and 4 children when needed throughout high school. Other interests I have include art, music, theater, sports, traveling, writing, cooking and reading. I have a BA in English, Creative Writing and a MFA in Library and Information Studies. I also create books and multimedia art.
