Was a summer camp counselor for Extra Special People, a summer camp for children and young adults with special needs. My duties included caring for children, working in a team with other counselors, helping the children to accomplish new tasks, cleaning the facility and whatever else was requested by my Unit Leader or Camp Director. Spent two summers as a teen volunteer at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. I was placed in the Pediatric ICU, Technology-Dependent ICU and the Radiology department. My duties included working with the child life specialist, playing with the patients, getting toys and items to help the patients and their families feel more comfortable, making radiology packets and cleaning and preparing rooms for patient's use. Was a volunteer in the Special Needs Sunday School Classroom for six years. I assisted the Sunday school teacher in care, assisting the children to complete tasks, helped teach Sunday School lessons and cleaned and prepared the room.
