I've been babysitting kids ranging in age from newborn to 10 years old for 10 years. After my sister was born in 2001, I became the live-in sitter for both her and my brother until he got a little older. In addition, I was my neighbor's regular babysitter until she moved away. Her children were 1 and 2 when I started baby sitting them. Occasionally I babysat an older set of children, ages 4 and 7, for a family friend to fill in when her regular sitter could not. Lastly, of course, I gave birth to my own daughter November of last year. So I am most comfortable with children her age. My ideal job would allow me to bring her with me, but as long as the hours work around her father's work schedule it's not 100% necessary. I'm comfortable babysitting in either my home or yours and I'm very comfortable around pets. I have not gotten certified for CPR yet, but my intention is to take the course at the red cross before the end of summer.
