I'm a very energetic and loving grandma. I can't imagine a more rewarding living than to play with kids (it keeps me fit and young). I have a vivid imagination and am willing to get down on the floor, be silly, make believe, and engage in lots of creative activities. Children respond to my kindness and tend to be well behaved in my care. I love nature, and enjoy participating in outdoor activities while stimulating curiosity in children about the world around them. I also have qualities that inspire learning at home. I'm very curious myself, and am always looking to learn new things - especially through the eyes of children while they discover what life is all about. Video games and TV go off in my presence so there's time and attention for learning, exploring and having fun.

I raised two very successful, well balanced and loving kids on my own and am now enjoying the benefits of grand-parenthood. I have over 50 years of experience taking care of children of all ages, beginning when I was 12 years old.

There's a special place in my heart for babies. I'm calm and steady, patient and experienced so their challenges adjusting to life in a little body are not a problem for me. They are absolutely able to feel the love that emanates from me for them. They respond to my calm and understanding demeanor. I am in heaven when holding babies in my arms, feeling their little heartbeats against my own heart. Fussy baby? My own son was terribly colicky and cried for three straight months unless he was being held, moving and pressed against me 24 hours a day. Your child will be a walk in the park for me.
