I have worked with children ever since I was 15 years old. I was a nanny at the age of 16 for a newborn and her 3-year-old sister for about three years. I babysat all through my college years for multiple families with kids of all ages. I was a full-time nanny for a 3-year-old boy from August 2010- February 2011 and then a part-time nanny for another 3-year-old boy and 4-year-old girl from February 2011-April 2011 (until I moved to Arizona). After my husband and I returned from Arizona, I took up a short term nanny offer from a friend to watch their newborn daughter for 50 hours a week for six months. Once they were able to put her in day care, I took up another short term after school position watching a 10-year-old. I was responsible for picking her up from school, helping her with homework, and getting her to and from different practices and events during the week.
I love taking care of kids. It is one of my favorite things to do! I am now looking for a long term position. I am looking for a family to become "a part of". I want the children to love me and respect me. I want them to look forward to the time we get to spend together. I believe it is important for the parents to be comfortable and at ease knowing their precious children are safe with me.
I am very active and I can keep up with children of all activity levels. I love to take walks, go to the park, play grounds, museums, the zoo, etc. I am a firm believer in hands-on learning and that learning should be fun. I love to read and do all kinds of arts and crafts.
I love caring for children so much. I can't picture doing anything else with my time.
