I have been caring of children since I was 11 years old. I have three lovely younger sisters. My 18 year old sister has cerebral palsy. I have helped out with her educational goals. I have also learned how to take care of her special needs. She has thought me not to judge people before getting to know them. I have been able to help raise and watched all three of them turn into young ladies. Some of my experience has come from working/ volunteering at Little Play Mates, Boys and Girls Club, Big Brother and Big Sister and Willow Creek Church. At Willow Creek Church I was one of the leaders in the infant department. I love watching children get excited about learning. With the few families I have work with here in Las Cruces the children tend to love reading books, dancing, and coloring. I am attending NMSU to become a special education teacher. I am looking forward to having my own classroom and helping my students believe in themselves.
