-My child care experience began when I was 14 years of age, baby-sitting for my younger family members and children of my parent's co workers, continuing to baby-sit from age 14 until today, ranging in all ages from infant to toddler, to school age children.
-While attending college, I was a tutor for a 9th grader.
-After graduating college I became a preschool teacher after being a substitute for two days. I worked in the Toddler classroom (1-2 years of age).
-After working for 1 year, I was offered a position at Southwestern College, as a peer advisor, working with high school seniors, helping them prepare to enter college.
-After 2 years with Southwestern, I was released due to budget cuts and returned to work at La Petite. I was a teacher in the two's classroom.
-After working at La Petite for another year, I was offered a nanny position, full time, caring for 2 children and I was their nanny for 2 years. The children were 11 months and 3 when I began. The 11-month-old had special needs.
-Currently I am a voice teacher and very involved with the children ministries at church!
-I am a great candidate for a nanny because first and foremost I adore children and believe that they should have the best possible care, especially during the vital years of development.
-I am a happy person with great energy and a positive, attitude that people find infectious and great to be around. I will always greet you with a smile!
-I am very dependable and rarely need days off. While working as a nanny for the military family, I could not have very many days off, I had to stay healthy and if I needed to get off early or need a day off, I gave them plenty notice ahead of time.
-I am a firm believer in nurturing a child/children and being available to them whenever they need me, but I believe in rules and introducing how important it is to follow rules for the safety of the child!
-I am patient and creative with lots of energy which is a great match when working with children!
-I also have child development classes completed and I am a college graduate with CPR/First Aid certification.
