My name is Cara and I am a rising Senior at NYU majoring in Communications and minoring in Psychology. I have had 8 years of babysitting experience, sitting for both family members and local families in my community. I also worked six years as a camp counselor where I was responsible for groups of 10-20 children over the years, varying from the ages of 5-9. As a camp counselor I assisted the children in daily activities: games, playground visits, arts and crafts. I am also first aid certified through the Girl Scouts of America, an organization in which I participated in from the ages of 5-18. As a Girl Scout I had experience leading events for younger girls. I achieved my Gold Award, in which I organized a badge day and movie night to help girls earn theater related badges and increase their appreciation for the arts. I have experience babysitting infants and toddlers. For the past three years I have babysat my cousin's little ones who are now 3 and 6 years old. I will be interning part time at an entertainment PR firm in Manhattan this summer, but will have two and a half days a week off which I would be able to devote to babysitting as well as nights and weekends.
