I have been involved in childcare for years both in my church daycare throughout high school, and for various families in my hometown. I nannied full-time for a 10-year-old girl over the course of a summer, both interacting with her and fulfilling her travel needs and for the past four years I have been babysitting on my college breaks for a family of four children (3 boys and a girl) whose youngest child has special developmental needs. He was under a year old when I began sitting for the family four years ago and the oldest boy was six at the time. I have not been consistently sitting during my college years but remain connected with children both through family friends with young children that I often care for, as well as through interacting with children at my church and in my neighborhood.
