I am a 24-year-old female who has recently moved to Denver from Vermont. I have worked in preschool and home settings since I was 15 years old, building and maintaining excellent relationships with parents and children. I am a recent graduate from the University of Vermont, where I got my degree in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Psychology and Spanish. I am looking to connect with nice families while I pursue a teaching position in the area.
I have been involved in childcare for majority of my life. My mother runs an outstanding preschool program, year-round, from our home in VT and I have always been extremely involved with children and families there. We teach children everything from potty training to swimming while providing a strong literacy foundation. I have student teaching experience in preschool and second grade classroom environments. I have worked full time as a Para-educator in central Vermont in a fourth grade classroom. I also have experience volunteering at family centers in my local community.
I am most comfortable working with children 1-year-old or older. I have no preferences regarding gender; both boys and girls are wonderful. I love playing educational games, dramatic play, being active outside and reading with children. I enjoy cooking with children and providing healthy snacks. I am a very kind and patient person. I do not raise my voice or get flustered easily. I have my own car and would be willing to provide transportation.
