I have had numerous different paid and volunteer jobs working with children of all ages. To start off, I spent the summer of 2009 as a nanny for a sixth grade female, and a fourth grade male. It was an amazing summer getting to interact with the children, teaching the girl how to play basketball, learning how to build from the boy and practically becoming a part of their spiritual and loving home. I have also had several years experience helping out in my church nursery by watching the children during worship and teaching bible study programs. I was also employed by Peak Fitness in their child development center, where I assisted the gym members' children with their daily homework and taught the children social skills through group relay races and craft projects. Furthermore, I have cared for children in several homes in Charlotte on an occasional, as needed basis. I love working with children because I believe that children are a joy. The joy that a child will show you, if you just give them your attention, is enough to make a bad day into a great day! I also believe that the children are the future. This is why I understand the importance in their education and their need for emotional and physical strength. I am also First Aid certified and have previously been an athletic trainer which allows me to be prepared for any emergency that might come about during my time with your children. This is just a brief summary of my "babysitting" experiences. I have been a nanny, mothers helper and babysitter for several Charlotte families caring for children of all ages, infants, toddlers, adolescents and teens! I am also a great cook, neat and orderly maid and a bright shining smile. I promise that I will do my absolute best to be a Godly role model for your children and treat your children and you with respect and love.
