I have been caring for children since I was about 12 years old. I had to help my raise my little sister, which helped me realize how much I loved children. I started watching residents' children in our apartment complex of all ages (newborn-14). I was huge on making sure all homework was done and the children followed normal house rules. If the house needed some TLC, I would take it upon myself to straighten things up and include the children as if it was a game for them. The last three years before I moved to Florida I raised my youngest brother, providing everything for him down to food and shelter. I love all children as if they are my own. Now that I am older, I have found even if I wanted to have children of my own the chances are one in a billion, so just having a chance to be around children is good enough for me.
