I have an extensive background in childcare. My experience includes everything from babysitting to filling the lead teaching position at a daycare/preschool. I am very patient and believe that as a caregiver it is not my responsibility to care for a child by doing things that I believe are best for the child, but by doing exactly as the parent instructs me to care for their child. As a caregiver for the past 10 years and a full-time mother myself, my biggest concern when leaving my child with a sitter/daycare is that they do as they think they should... because they may disagree with certain aspects on the way I raise my child. I've seen caregivers at daycare facilities do just this. Which is why I am so apprehensive to whom I leave my own child with. It is my responsibility as your child's caregiver to do exactly as you ask of me, because what my job really is... is to fill in for you in the times you can't be there. I have great tutoring skills and have also worked with many children of all ages.. from 6-week-old twin boys on heart monitors... to children with a variety of learning disabilities.
