Hi, my name is Brittany and I could become a part of your family for the summer. I'm college aged, live in (or out, if you're in the Dallas area) nanny. I am willing to travel far from home for the right opportunity and family. I have always enjoyed caring for children and love learning from them every day. Currently, I am a sophomore at the University of Nebraska, studying to be a Secondary Education Family & Consumer Science teacher. I am involved in campus clubs including College of Education Advisory Board, Campus Night Life Advisory Board, and UNL Scarlet Guard. Something I hold close to my heart is that I am a member of Gamma Phi Beta-Pi Chapter sorority.
My past experiences with children include babysitting, helping with bible school, life guarding, working at an after school program, and 3rd grade practicum this past semester. This past summer I was a county 4-H aide, so I got to help the kids at different day camps all throughout the weeks of summer. In all these I have enjoyed the little moments of innocent happiness that children can bring to any situation. Many times they have helped me put things into a new perspective. I have worked with all age groups and children with disabilities. Every child is wonderfully made a child of God, and each have touched my life.
Smiling and laughing everyday is something I strive for in my personal life. God has called me to care for people. I have a huge heart, and would be a great asset in any family, I believe. I am a small town Nebraska girl who would love to experience another part of the country, using it as a growing experience to better myself along with helping a great, deserving family out. If possible, I would want to continue my education by taking a few college courses from a close community college while I was living in a household, but if it did not work into the schedule that would be fine too.This past year God has touched my life, and now I want to reach out and touch someone else.
