I began caring for children before going into high school by coaching Pop Warner cheerleading for girls 12 and younger. After doing this for many years, I started classes in high school that dealt with child care and development. Parents would drop their preschoolers off and we interacted and taught each child individually. My junior and senior year I took a class called youth teaching youth where I would travel to an elementary school and teach a kindergarten class. My job during my senior year of high school also involved children as I worked at a kids' party place called Bounce U. Throughout high school, I worked with special needs children and the Special Olympics. I also worked at the extended day program after school at a local grade school. Having a younger brother who is 10 years younger than me gives me first hand experience with children. I intend on being a education major at college because working with kids has always provided me with happiness and I enjoy spending my time with them. I am coming home for the summer in May and would love to spend my summer working for a family with children! I am available all week and weekends too so please message me!
