Hey everyone! My name is Brittany. I am 23 years old, and live in Lincoln, Nebraska. I have been taking care of children since I was about 11 years old. I am a single mother of a 2-year-old boy. As well as having a child of my own, I also used to watch the children of my parents' friends while they went out on Friday or Saturday nights. As I got older, I started caring for more children of all different age groups. I do have experience working in a preschool setting, mainly in the after school care program, where I was in charge of waking the children up from nap, preparing a healthy snack, and then providing safe and educational fun until the parents arrived. I also worked at a daycare where I mainly worked in the infant room, where I was in charge of up to 4 infants at a time by myself. The other 2 rooms that I commonly worked in were the toddler rooms and the preschool rooms. I love working with kids, and would love to get back into the field. I decided that being a nanny or babysitter would be the best choice for me because it allows me to work with children still, but be more hands on and one on one. Working in a daycare, I became attached to the kids, but felt like I was being pulled every which way. I prefer being close to a few select children so I can provide great care for those individuals!
