My sister ran a home daycare for many years and I worked with her for 2 of those years. We usually had between 7-10 children ages ranging from 3 months-10 yrs. We would have them from 6 a.m. - 6 p.m. We had a set schedule every day and planned out meals a week in advance. We provided nap time, breakfast and lunch and snacks. We played outside and made sure the children were always supervised and also taught them skills relevant to their age group. I also have been an aunt since I was 8 years old to 7 nieces and nephews that I have cared for when needed. Their ages are, a 13-year-old girl, 12-year-old girl, 11-year-old boy, two 6-year-old boys, a 4-year-old girl and a 2-year-old boy. I currently work at a Portrait studio and have for over a year. We mostly photograph children so I am used to entertaining them and the compliment I get most from parents is how patient I am with their children. My roommate also has a 3-month-old son that I help care for since the father is not involved.
