As I child, I used to pray that God would bless me with a baby brother or sister. My diligent prayers soon paid off- three-fold! My brother was born when I was nine and by the time I was 15, I had another brother and baby sister. Since then, I have happily been the designated babysitter of the family. As a teenager, I helped in Children's Church and babysat for parents in my community on many occasions. My experience with my siblings taught me how to have patience and unconditional love for infants and children. However, it is the education I have received and experienced gained from university that enables me to provide safe care while meeting the age appropriate mental, physical, and emotional needs of children. I have rotated through many clinical environments, including Postpartum/Newborn Nursery at a hospital and Pediatrics at a children's medical center. I was also employed on the Postpartum/Newborn Nursery unit at another medical center for a year and a half.
