My experience in babysitting emerged around the age of 12. I volunteered every Sunday in the toddler room at my church. Within two years of doing that, parents were having me come to their homes and watching the kids. I have babysat children from the ages of 3 to 11. In 2009, I was hired by a family in Blackhawk to care for their two children. My duties included picking the children up from school, driving them to and from scheduled appointments and extra curricular activities, assisting with homework, checking homework, preparing lunches for the next school day, walking the dog, light laundry, occasionally providing dinner, and running other errands. I worked for them until September of 2010. I love being a nanny because I like helping out families that need the extra set of hands. I know its hard to have two working parents, and children with busy lives, while trying to keep everything organized. I love to provide all the help I can give.
