I have about five years experience caring for children. For the past two years, I have been employed in a severe special needs classroom as a paraprofessional. Prior to my current experience, I spent several years as a volunteer within special education at the elementary and high school level. I also had an internship within special education. During the fall months, I volunteer for the Special Olympics organization. I also have a 2-year-old niece who I have been able to watch grow up; I cannot begin to explain how amazing the experience has been! I've found that the best trait to have around children is to be encouraging; there's nothing better than having someone support you and your dreams!
