My childcare style is a mix of fun, learning, adventure, safety, exploration & love. I think it's important that children have fun with the person providing their care & support while their parents are away. They also need to feel loved, safe, and happy! It's important that the children have a schedule which allows for fun and play, but also learning and a bit of adventure! I can be fun, lighthearted, funny, but can also provide gentle discipline (time outs when needed, etc). I am flexible, but I like to have a schedule for feeding, napping, etc to provide structure for the children I care for. I am organized, neat and clean but you will find me playing race cars on the floor or crawling with the little ones to "see what they see". I will play dress up, dance, sing & be as much of a playmate as a responsible, caring, childcare provider.
I am a registered nurse at a local hospital & was a part-time nanny last summer & still do lots of nanny jobs for tourists & local residents.
