I have always had a passion for children but recently have a new-found passion towards helping individuals with special needs. I presently work for a company, where my career title is a DSP (Direct Support Provider). As a DSP, I provide services to children, young adults, adults, seniors with developmental and physical disabilities. I also babysit children and adults with special needs for private families. On a daily basis, I assist individuals with (including but not limited to) budgeting, meal preparation, grocery shopping, medication oversight, community integration, monitor of health & safety, implementation of behavior management plan as well as implementation of training objectives & personal care as needed. Coordinate and provide transportation as needed. Manage medical paperwork as mandated by the state of Indiana. I am certified in First Aid/CPR and Core A/Core B (medication pass training).
