I have been working as a nanny for the last four years. I took care of a family with three young boys for the first two years and began caring for a little girl for the last two years. I currently babysit for about 7 different families throughout San Diego County, most of whom were referred to by a previous family I had worked for. I have experience with newborns up to preteens as well as single children and multiples. I learned about child care from my mom who ran her own daycare out of our family home for over 16 years. She taught me the fundamentals of what it means to be a good caretaker. I understand the responsibility I have as a nanny/ babysitter and how important it is for families to find an honest and dependable caretaker for their child.

I currently am a student at Cal State San Marcos and am majoring in Human Development with an emphasis in Child Services. I have volunteered at numerous facilities such as Teri Inc that works with children-adults with mental disabilities, Guardian Angels that helps with elderly care, the YMCA working with youth and also Best Buddies club that pairs up students with students who have disabilities in high school.

My duties as a nanny have included changing diapers, preparing meals, bathing, driving, potty training, naps/bed time, as well as light housework like laundry, doing dishes and cleaning up around the house.
