I've been a babysitter for a few families during my high school/college years and have many additional years of childcare experience under my belt with all of the kids in my own family! (Nephews, nieces, little cousins, etc.) I am a single mom and, for the most part, I have raised and taken care of my daughter on my own with the help of my parents and extended family, so I am well aware of the responsibilities of being a committed, responsible parent and wanting to invest love, time and care into the growth of a child. Being on my own with my daughter for 14 years, I have become a very self-sufficient person and have no problem getting my hands dirty, (taking out the trash, etc), so I have no problem doing these daily tasks that are sometimes part of being a nanny/caretaker (especially cooking, cleaning, laundry, errands, etc.). That being said, I am very family-oriented and I know how important it is to sometimes just sit on the floor and play with kids! It's not always quantity, but quality! I love spending time with little kids (babies and toddlers) as I have lots of them in my family.
