I have been babysitting for as long as I remember. My jobs have ranged from watching older children for a few hours while parents go out to over-night stays with premature newborn twins. I have also worked as a day camp counselor and took an Early Childhood Development class in high school.

When I moved to Raleigh a few months ago, I started a nanny-share with 2 local families and their wonderful toddlers. I watched both toddlers in my home several days a week and this arrangement worked ideally for all involved. The children had a blast playing and learning together. Each family was able to pay me less than I typically charge and we all had a very open, flexible schedule that allowed for last-minute changes.

I will no longer be sitting for one of the families due to a change in the parent's work schedule but I and the other family I sit for are very eager to meet more parents willing to explore a similar arrangement.
