I recently graduated from nursing school and am a licensed RN looking to start a career as a Labor & Delivery/Postpartum Nurse. The application process is long for new grads right now, so I am looking for a temporary position either as a Nanny or a Postpartum Doula/Newborn Specialist in the mean time. I'm not sure of the exact time frame I'm available, but of course would agree to provide adequate notice before leaving any childcare position as I know it's not always easy to find a replacement. Most likely, I would be available through the end of the year.

Before I started nursing school, I was a nanny for 6 years. My nanny experience is with children, ages newborn to 3 years and I have worked with several families (all of whom can provide excellent references). I have a BA in Psychology and have taken Child Development classes as well as early childhood education classes. I am calm and patient and enjoy promoting children's development, playing, reading, and singing with them as well as getting them outdoors for fresh air and sunshine. I can prepare healthy meals for your child and am more than happy to clean up after them as well as provide light house cleaning when they nap.

I am looking to care for an infant or toddler part-time. My ideal situation would be 2-3 days per week, and preferably not scattered throughout the whole week, as I will need certain days to be on-call for my volunteer doula position at the hospital. Please feel free to contact me if you need less care than this as well, since I am willing to work for a couple of different families if the schedules don't conflict. I am also available for occasional or date night babysitting. I am available starting around Oct. 1.
