Greetings! I am a new resident to AZ, & am enjoying the transition. I grew up in VA, just outside of DC, & spent my adulthood in the mountains of PA, where I happily parented five now-grown children.
Since 1980, I've worked primarily in healthcare, in-home & facilities for the aging community, & successfully completed many college credits with the eventual goal of earning a degree in nursing. During that time, our family home-schooled for 13 years, I volunteered as an ESL tutor, taught Sunday school, as well as directed children & youth activities, ages birth to 19.
My general outlook is that all of life is one, big field trip... exploring opportunities to discover, question, learn, & meet new folks along the way. I respect people of all backgrounds, ages, & philosophies, making a priority of learning something new every day.
I embrace a healthy lifestyle, finding it beneficial in countless ways.
An appreciation of of "old-fashioned" values, such as honesty & work ethic, served well in the joy & task of child rearing. My children's adult-hoods include college, careers, marriage, home-ownership, entrepreneurship, military service, & voluntary service to others. I have found raising a family to be life's most challenging, yet extraordinarily rewarding experience. It would be a pleasure to assist you.
