Hello there!

I have a lot to offer with much experience. I have worked in a daycare setting, live-in and live-out nanny; both in and out of state. I have spent a lot of time in NY.

I like to keep children occupied with more than TV. I am not opposed to TV, I just think that tapping into their creative sides with crafts and such, teaching sign language as early as 6-7 months and having them read or reading to them puts their brain to better use and makes for a more pleasant experience overall. I love board games as well and taking walks, but am not a fan of hot summer days so central air or mucho kickin' AC units are a necessity for me.

I enjoy all children and while I have worked with all ages and special needs I have cared primarily for infants; newborn to 1 being my specialty. I have a cool head on my shoulders and do not freak out when things such as, oh I don't know, your child gets something caught in their throat. I can swiftly retrieve the object using the finger swoop, without giving it a second thought and have had to do so 5 times; all the while remaining calm and collected.

I am hoping over time to become a friend of the family or considered part of the family and not just the sitter or the nanny, but am flexible to what you are most comfortable doing.

What parents say, goes and that is also in regards to discipline. If I find that your methods do not work for me then I hope that you are open to a discussion on alternatives. I am a communicator. I prefer open, honest up-front communication lines.

I have many interests, but am most passionate about music and the arts. I graduated cosmetology school with a license that also includes esthetics and theater make-up. I was president of my class. I am a three times published freelance photographer. I have performed on stages from 44th street off Broadway in NYC to the Forum in Harrisburg. I was also contracted as lyricist/composer for a musical "From Gumm to Garland; Judy the Musical."
