After 15+ years in the corporate world I have decided to be at home and raise/teach my 3-year-old. In doing so, I also want to open up my home to create an environment that offers social interaction. My goal is to have a weekly curriculum that includes learning numbers, letters, songs, reading, and art work. I feel there are many areas of activities that can be incorporated to build a fun yet structured curriculum. Having fun while learning is very important and I believe this can be achieved. I will give the parents a list of craft supplies that will be free to collect (i. e. empty paper towel rolls) but priceless when the children have completed their art project.

Prior to being in the administrative/event planning industry I was a daycare provider for six years. I have learned many useful ways to help educate children and keep them desiring to learn more. I am CPR/First Aid certified.

In my down time I enjoy running 5Ks, hiking, reading, Bible study group time, date night with husband, playing with my son, and spending time with my daughter, when she gets a chance to come home from college, of course not in that order but hopefully that will give you an idea of my character. I believe you must be comfortable with whom you leave your children, as though they would protect them with their life as you the parent would do.

I believe that a childcare at home can also have the environment of a daycare if done properly. I plan never to have more than five children and preferred age range is 18 months to 5 years old

My experience is six years in the industry, but 19 if you count my daughter who is now attending college and my 3-year-old son. Also my son had minimal hearing early in his life which required us to find another form of communication. We chose to learn ASL (American Sign Language) and continue to use this as a communication source. He has since gained full hearing but signing is still a fun language to learn.

I ask for a weekly rate of $145 per child. I will supply healthy breakfast, lunch, and two snacks. I ask that you supply diapers, wipes, and a favorite nap blanket/stuffed animal. I will be flexible concerning special needs and welcome any advice that is needed to care for your child.
