Hello, my name is Audrey J. I would like to tell you a bit about myself. I was blessed with 2 beautiful daughters and 3 amazing grandchildren. I was very blessed to be a part of their daily lives for many years, but now due to their relocating and a change in my life, I have decided to relocate to Florida. In my life I have had 2 jobs, one as a baker and one as mother/ grandmother and it is this love of children that has inspired me to find a family in need of a care provider.
My youngest grandchild has special needs with the diagnosis of Asperger's, ADHD, and Childhood anxiety disorder. Although I am not an expert, it has certainly expanded my appreciation and love of all children and has allowed me the insight into the daily life of a special needs child and some of the struggles they endure. I also have a very artistic grandchild that loves to read, and write and draw; that has re-inspired my love of the library. And last, but never least, my oldest grandchild who loves anything sports. From the ice to the field, he loves to be on it and has taught me a little bit about the games that make athletes tick.
I love to read novels of many genres and enjoy journaling. I thoroughly enjoy reading and researching new and exciting recipes to cook and bake. I enjoy the sun and the sand and all things beach; as well as walking for exercise and leisure.
I find children fascinating, motivating and exhausting. I believe the best way to care for a child is with genuine love, compassion and most importantly patience. In closing I would like to say that it would be an honor to become a part of your family and support you and your children.
