I worked for a recreational center for about a year. The children's ages ranged from 6-12 years old. We would prepare snacks and drinks, help the children with their homework, facilitate group activities (coloring, arts and crafts, kickball, dodge ball, billiards tournaments and more), and had the children take part in community service projects. Cleaning, of course, was a main part of the job because children are always taking things out without returning them to their proper place, or making a mess with anything they can get their hands on.
