At 12 years old I received my Red Cross Babysitter's Permit and did small babysitting jobs here and there. I enjoyed it very much but wanted something more frequent and where I could be closer to the little joy I would watch, more than just one night to just leave, and them never think of me again.

At 13 years old I began watching a boy 5 days a week for about 2 years. His school bus dropped him at my street and I would watch him from then til about 10:30 p.m. I cared for him, helped with school, and put him to bed. My experience with him and watching him grow was wonderful. I wanted to continue having these experiences with children.

At 15 I directed my first nursery for a three day event called the Classical Conversations Practicum. I had the newborn to 2 year old room. I definitely found more sweetness and comfort in caring for littler ones. Seeing life grow from the very beginning and experiencing their joy is the best to me. I did the same age group again for another C.C. Practicum last year, at 17 years old.

I plan to continue work with children. Eventually I hope to help with them not only here, but in other countries, too.
