I started babysitting in the 8th grade for a family of 4 children ranging from ages 3-10. We spent a lot of time playing in their backyard and walking to a nearby park, then we would wind down and watch some T. V or read a book before bedtime. I babysat for them for a few years until the oldest was capable of watching her younger siblings. Then sophomore year of high school I started babysitting/dog sitting a family of two (1-year-old girl and 3-year-old boy.) I've been watching them ever since and have become apart of the family. We spent a lot of times playing games, like house or doctor, and have made several crafts. The mother has recommended me to a couple of her friends who have children in age ranges of 4-10. I have also babysat some of my younger cousins when they were infants. I feel comfortable changing diapers, making lunch/dinner, spending the night, and I am comfortable around all pets. I have also had a lot of experience working with children/people with intellectual disabilities.
