Hello, I am graduating college senior. I will have a Bachelor's of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders. I hope to be a speech language pathologist or counselor. I am the oldest of four children and have always been there to assist my parents. My two youngest siblings are 11 and were born three months premature. Both of them required special care and I was there every step of the way learning to be patient and how to multitask. In addition to caring for all of my siblings since I was about 10 years old, I have also cared for other various family members. I have been babysitting my younger cousins since I was 13. In my coursework at college, I was able to tutor preschool children. In the spring of 2011, I tutored a 4 year old multilingual child in the areas of literacy, early Mathematics, and primary educational skills (color coding, letter recognition etc.). I have also acquired numerous hours of observation of young children. Since February 2012, I have been volunteering at a day nursery in Ohio. I worked with infants and toddlers whose mothers are 18 years old or younger. I am very motivated, energetic, and eager to learn and assist.
