I am a senior nursing student originally from Haddonfield, NJ but currently finishing up college at the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing. I was recently offered a position after graduation as a registered nurse in the emergency room at the Children's Hospital in Philadelphia, where I work now. I have been babysitting and nannying for children of all ages since I was 13 years old. Also, throughout high school, I was a volunteer at the Voorhees Pediatric Facility, where I worked with many degrees of children with special needs. Right now, I specialize in caring for infants and their moms on my clinical unit which is a high risk obstetrical and postpartum unit. In the past, I have nannied for two middle school children and babysat for many families with small children throughout Haddonfield. Furthermore, this past summer, as well as participating in a nurse externship at CHOP in the emergency room (where I cared for all children ages 0-18) I was also babysitting for two newborn twins. I absolutely love children of all ages, particularly newborns and infants, since eventually I would like to work as a nurse in labor and delivery or a neonatal intensive care unit. I come from a large family with many small children and babies, so I am very, very comfortable with small children and infants. I have also worked in many hospitals, including two children's hospitals, one women and children's hospitals, and a medical day care for children.
