My name is Astrid. I am 20 years old and although I am young, I'm very mature and have extensive experience with child care. I took 4 years of Early Childhood Education, in which two of the 4 years, was hands on experience as a preschool teacher. Plus, I come from a very big family (32 cousins) the majority being under the age of 12, of which I am the babysitter because I can actually have them have fun without being in front of a TV, also I have volunteered in my church day care ever since the age of 15. I am a firm believer of hands on activities that contribute to the learning aspect of the child, while managing to make it fun at the same time. I have my 40 hour training. I am a Christian, so you don't have to worry about smoking, drinking, foul language, etc. in your house and around your child/children. I wouldn't have a problem with traveling to reasonable distance. I have my own transportation, I have never had a ticket or accident. I am trilingual, if that is of any interest.
My availability is semi limited. I am a navy wife so my schedule revolves around my husband's schedule. I am open and willing to do overnight/night time babysitting. Like I mentioned, I am a navy wife, my husband is here for schooling, so I will be here in Pensacola for about 6 months.
I am pet friendly [I have had animals all my life]. Rates will vary depending on time, how many kids and what you can afford. If the child care is to be done at your house, I can also do small chores, cleaning around, cooking [I'm a great cook], looking around after pets [if needed], driving the kid[s] around if needed, etc. Also, if kid needs diaper changes, I am comfortable with that. If at the age of potty training, I can help. I have experience with newborns until 12 years old.
