I have been babysitting since I was 14 years old. I have babysat children from under a year old, up to 11 years of age. I enjoy being around children and I know that they love being around me. I have been requested to babysit even on occasions where the parent is still home, but the kids just really enjoy me being in their company, and I enjoy the same. I have two younger brothers and plenty of younger cousins, so I have been around kids my whole life and I wouldn't have it any other way. I have never had a bad experience while babysitting. Of course I get the occasional attitude and I have to give them a time out or take toys away, but I have never experienced anything more drastic than that. I have babysat for family and friends and have never had to travel much further than my own backyard but I would be willing to start doing so. I have had the most fun babysitting when we spend as much time as we can outside. Movie nights are always something I enjoy doing as well. I can act like a little kid and have fun while babysitting, while being responsible, mature, and trustworthy. I never have a set hourly rate. I was paid differently anywhere I went. I am happy with what I can get.
