I am interested in finding a full-time, live-out nanny position with a wonderful family in the Austin/Northwest Austin area as soon as possible. Due to an unfortunate economic-related problem, the family I am currently working for can no longer afford to keep me on. I am available as early as November 16th. The family I am currently working for is absolutely wonderful and have a 6-month-old baby girl and a very energetic 3-year-old boy that I adore. Even though I am very sad about ending my time with this family so suddenly, I am excited to find another amazing family to become a part of.
Before working for this family, I lived in Fuzhou, China working in a foster home run by an American family. This is a foster home for children with physical and special needs children in China, where I was a full-time caretaker for four beautiful children (ages 2 to 5). I have gained experience and knowledge for working with children with many different types of physical and mental disabilities (cerebral palsy, children with missing limbs, cleft lip/cleft palate, blindness, seizures, Down syndrome, autism, fetal alcohol syndrome, etc.) and through this, I have also learned what true patience is. I have a HUGE heart for children and adoption. I am the oldest of six children, and my youngest three siblings are all adopted from China. I have been baby-sitting for over nine years for various families and church groups. I have baby-sat for children, ages ranging from newborn to preteen. I am a classically trained vocalist for 13 years and was a substitute vocal teacher for many years where I worked with people, ages 5 to 40. I feel that music and the arts are very important to help children grow mentally, and I like to incorporate this into the day.

I am fun-loving, energetic, and down-to-earth. I love the outdoors and sports. I am a classically trained vocalist for 13 years, and I love using music as an activity with kids. I am working towards my degree in child psychology.
