When I worked as a lifeguard/swim instructor, I worked with different types of age groups. As a swim instructor, I had to work with 2-8 kids/adults at a time making sure they are learning in a safe environment. As a lifeguard, I watched over pool parties and recreational swim making sure the patrons are safe and prevent from any accidents happening. I enjoyed working here because it gave me the opportunity to get to know my students and for my students to get to know me. It was always a joy for a student to remember me even after the class has passed.

Another experience I've had was caring for my two cousins, one at the age of 8 and the other at the age of 10 for two years on and off. I would babysit them after school when their parents both had work. I'd pick them up from school, make lunch and snacks for them, help them with homework, and made sure they practiced piano.
I also babysat a 2-year-old for a couple of weeks for the summer before I had to go back home. I would feed him, change his diaper, bring him to the park, and many more different activities. He was a very hyper child, so I would have to wear him out so he would be able to take his nap before his mom would pick him up.

I always enjoy working with children because you never know what they'll surprise you with. And I enjoy taking on any challenges I am presented with. Developing a relationship and getting to know a person is what I enjoy the most.
