I have loved caring for young children for as long as I can remember. I had my first babysitting job in fifth grade, where I was responsible for taking care of a child only a few months old for a few hours. This included feeding him, entertaining him, and putting him to bed. In seventh grade I took care of two boys, ages three and six. I was responsible for entertaining them and feeding them for about three hours at a time. I baby sat randomly through high school, mostly children under the age of 10. Last summer I worked at a Christian summer camp where I nannied a 3-year-old girl. When needed, I was responsible for feeding her, assisting her going to the restroom, and entertaining her, usually with books and art activities. I also put her down for naps and bedtime, including the bedtime routine of preparing a bottle, dressing her in pajamas, putting on a sleep diaper, reading books, and singing songs to her. I have also served as a camp counselor, where I was responsible for taking care of and entertaining 10 five and 6-years-olds of both genders for a week with one other counselor.
